Abstract
Different states of silver supported on oxide carriers have been studied by the method of electron spectroscopy of diffuse reflectance (ESDR). The nature of the support, the modifying additions and redox treatments have a great effect on the position and intensity of the absorption bands of Ag0, Ag+ and Agn δ+ in the EDR spectra of supported Ag-containing systems. The ESDR method can be used effectively for the investigation of model and commercial silver catalysts.
