Study of PMR spectra of C30, C31 and C32 homologues of petroleum porphyrins

    Abstract

    1. 1. Four individual porphyrin compounds were isolated from West Surgunt crude oil. 2. 2. The porphyrins identified by PMR-spectrometry were: 13,15-ethane-3,8,17-triethyl-2,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrin, 13,15-ethane-8,17-diethyl-2,3,7,12,18-pentamethylporphyrin, 13,15-diethyl-2,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrin and 3,8-diethyl-2,7,12,13,17,18-hexamethylporphyrin. 3. 3. The formation of porphyrins of West Surgunt crude oil from chlorophylls a and c was shown to be possible.
