Structures, phase compositions, and morphology of plasma-chemical powders of ZrO2(MgO)

Properties of materials produced by method of powder technology are dependent on characteristics of initial materials. Study of morphology, dispersion, phase compositions of initial materials makes it possible to predict service properties of products. High-homogeneity powders are required in case of manufacturing the zirconium ceramics with uniform structure and property reproducibility. Morphology, phase compositions, and parameters of crystalline structures of powders of solid solution based on ZrO2 have been investigated. Various amount of the stabilizing additive of MgO have been investigated. The powders have been produced by plasma-chemical method. Results of investigations have been presented.
