Abstract
The structure and phase content of a weld in Fe-0.09C-2Mn-1Si steel are investigated by the methods of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and metallography. A gradient weld structure is established. The manner in which the phase content of steel, the ferrite and pearlite grain sizes, and the morphology of cementite particles depend on the increasing distance from the weld center is elucidated.
