STIMULATED RADIATION OF A BOUNDED HIGH-CURRENT ELECTRON BEAM IN THE PRESENCE OF MAGNETOSTATIC PUMPING IN A LONGITUDINAL MAGNETIC FIELD.

Abstract

The kinetic equation method is used to analyze the stimulated radiation of a radially bounded high-intensity relativistic electron beam, propagating in a resonant system in the presence of transverse spatially periodic and homogeneous longitudinal external magnetic fields. It is shown that efficient radiation can occur both in the presence of wave-pumped cyclotron resonance and with combination wave pumping. The conditions for the appearance of stimulated radiation are found, and its parameters are determined as a function of the intensity and energy spread of the electron beam.
