Abstract
Processes of producing the steels in electric arc furnaces are considered. In order to improve quality of the steels, silicocalcium is utilized. Contents of oxygen and non-metallic inclusions in the steels are reduced in this case. However, dissimilation of silicocalcium in the steels is low. In connection with this, method of silicocalcium addition in aluminum containers has been developed. The aluminum containers with silicocalcium are fixed on bottom of ladle before steel tapping from the furnace. During the steel tapping, its deoxidization with aluminum leads to decrease in calcium loss.
