Stationary electric field in superconductors with nonzero energy gap

Abstract

A one-dimensional superconductor-normal metal junction is considered. It is shown that the electric field created in the n-region by a temperature gradient or by a current flow decays exponentially into the s-region over a branch imbalance relaxation length.
