Abstract
Pulsed cathodoluminescence of cadmium tungstate crystals doped with lithium and bismuth was investigated. It was shown that emission spectra of the crystals were dominated by a single band with a maximum at 2.6 eV. The luminescence decay curves of CdWO4, CdWO4:Li, and CdWO4:Li+Bi crystals were similar and could be described by exponential functions with τ = 13 μs at 300 K. It was found that the luminescence light yield did not vary substantially after adding dopants.
