    Abstract

    Fixed multigap spark discharger has been designed capable of switching currents of up to 100 kamp and having switching-time spread of less than 5 nsec in voltage range from 8 to 50 kv; this allows discharger to be connected for parallel operation of high- power capacitor banks without need of decoupling devices.
