Abstract
The change in the transmission of K-208 glass under the action of an electron stream with energy of the order of several tens of kiloelectron volts depends on the thickness of the specimens, the radius of the irradiated surface, and the material of the substrate on which the glass specimens are laid for exposure. The dependence of the transmission loss on the above conditions is associated with the electrification of the glass under irradiation and with the emergence of strong electric fields which limit the injection of electrons into the glass.
