Abstract

The article presents a hardware and software complex for the automated measurement of the pallet dimensions and defining of foreign bodies on the pallet surface. The block diagram of the system and the software are described. Methods to improve the accuracy of measurement of the geometric dimensions of the pallet are briefly described: Temperature correction of the velocity of propagation of ultrasonic oscillations and the calculation of echo pulse envelope to determine its coordinates of time-position. The algorithm of processing the primary data to improve the reliability of inspection results on the basis of the calculation of the additional, so-called virtual lines, in the pallet surface is presented.
