Abstract

A method is proposed for the simultaneous determination of the constituents of a redox couple using data of potentiometric titration. It is based on the correlation and regression analysis of the modified Gran function. The method was validated using a model titration Fe(II)/Fe(III)-K2Cr2O7 system. For comparable starting concentrations of oxidized and reduced iron species, the determination error does not exceed 0.6%; RSD for Fe(II) and Fe(III) are 0.1-0.2% and 1.5%, respectively.
