Simulation of the power supply for CuBr-laser with magnetic compression cell in LTspice

Abstract

Development of effective sources of specific radiation is a very urgent task. Copper vapor lasers allow obtaining sufficiently high lasing power in the visible region of the spectrum. To increase the competitiveness of such laser it is necessary to develop an effective pumping source. This problem demands to develop a power supply that provides high voltage pump pulses with sufficiently high rise time. In this connection it is interesting to use the switch in conjunction with magnetic compression circuits. This will allow reducing rate of change of the voltage across the switch providing high rate of change of one across the tube.
