Shaper of nanosecond microwave pulses with 30-cm-band storage resonator

Abstract

The shaper performs time compression of microwave pulses with the following parameters: an electromagnetic-field frequency of 830 MHz, a pulse power of 4 kW, a duration of 5 μsec, and a repetition frequency of 100 Hz. The storage resonator of the shaper has a length of 1.73 m, an inside diameter of 0.3 m, and a Q of 4 · 104. The duration of a shaped pulse is 50 nsec, and the conversion efficiency is 30%. The spectrum is calculated.
