This paper considers a problem of the digital frequency regulator parameters choice for an autonomous operated micro hydroelectric power plant. The application of the digital frequency regulator allows to provide a stability of output tension and frequency of alternating current. One of the parameters which must be determined is the value of ballast capacity. It is proposed a set of equations for solving that problem. The mathematical model of micro hydroelectric power plant allows to state an interconnection between the digital frequency regulator parameters and regimes of power plant operation and to receive recommendation for the device parameters choice.
