Abstract
Based on examining of 151 patients with pyo-inflammatory diseases of locomotor system including 42 patients with diabetic gangrene of feet, diagnosis activity of scintigraphic methods in the diagnosis of osteomyelitis was assessed. Radionuclide methods have included 3-phase scintigraphy, scintigraphy with 67Ga-citrate and 111In-citrine. Specificity and sensitivity of the 3-phase scintigraphy to diagnose acute osteomyelitis and sharpening of chronic inflammatory process were 80% and 70.8%, respectively. Scintigraphy with 67Ga-citrate and 111In-citrine, which has indicated inflammation foci has increased efficacy of radionuclide diagnosis of osteomyelitis in all patients including patients having diabetes mellitus. Specificity of the methods to establish foci of intraosteal purulent infection was 97.6%, and sensitivity was 93.7%; the latter was due to the presence of 3 false-negative results. Different stage of 67Ga-citrate and 111In-citrine deposition was the index of inflammatory process phase.
