Abstract
A mathematical model of the development of a nucleus of the solid-state reaction product is analyzed where stresses and deformations are taken into account in the explicit form. Different regimes of the reaction development are revealed. A solid-state diffusion equation derived for slow reactions can be probably useful for the description of more complex processes.
