Reattachment of a plane turbulent jet to a wall upon injection and suction

Abstract

The characteristics of an attaching turbulent jet under the action of various control flows are studied experimentally for the first time. New data on the flow structure in the vicinity of the critical point are obtained owing to the use of double electrodiffusive friction microprobes. A special hydrodynamic stand is designed to investigate the fundamental regularities of the attachment of turbulent jets to a wall upon injection and suction.
