    Abstract

A procedure was developed to account lower radiography sensitivity under radiation background conditions. Values of radiation background dosages which have an impact on an X-ray film with time are reported. Examples are given for predicting lower radiographic sensitivity factor for various film types and various dosage rates of background-radiation. The procedure provides for making the best choice of an X-ray film and to predict the expected sensitivity.
