Abstract

This chapter considers the radiative properties of the REP DD plasma at high specific excitation powers (up to 100 MW/cm3) and pressures (up to 12 atm) in inert gases, in their mixtures with halogenides, and in nitrogen. Also presented in the chapter are data of the main plasma parameters in this type of discharge: electron density Ne, electron temperature Te, gas temperature Tg, and reduced electric field strength E/N measured with an optical emission spectroscopy technique.
