A method is suggested for studying the stress-strained state with the help of the optico-television measuring complex TOMSC. This is a quantitative express-method based on computer processing of optical specimen surface images obtained in situ in its testing with respect to extension and compaction. The method possibilities are demonstrated on an example of the deformed state study in extension of copper specimen with circular notch.
