A description is given of a high-voltage pulse generator of output voltage amplitude up to 1. 8 MV, which has a stored energy of 135 kJ; all the components are contained in a steel tank of volume 20 m**3, which is filled with transformer oil. The device is intended to charge low-resistance shaping lines rapidly, and also to supply electron-gun systems.
