Abstract
Lattice vibrations are investigated by the model pseudopotential of Krasko and Gurskiy. Electrostatic interaction makes the lattice unstable as regards tetragonal shear. The band structure energy stabilizes the lattice. In a calculation of lattice vibrations ion repulsion can be neglected. The influence of exchange correlation effects on calculated parameters is examined.
