The production of polarized positrons by longitudinally polarized moderate energy (E = 50 MeV) electrons is proposed. The two-step process in a thin amorphous target e- long → γcirc-pol. → e- e- long. has been considered. For a target thickness of a tenth of the radiation length, the yield of positrons with energy above 25 MeV and polarization ∼0.5 may reach ∼10-3 per initial electron.
