Abstract

In the paper, a method of preparing chemically uniform batch for the container glass manufacture is described. The method is based on the introduction of finely dispersed and hygroscopic starting materials (kaolin and soda) in the form of microgranules into the glass batch followed by its compaction. It is shown that the resulting glass batch is characterized by high uniformity and chemical activity.
