Abstract
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of 18F-FDG PET/CT in lymphomas staging compared with traditional diagnostic methods. The results of 18F-FDG PET/ CT of 30 patients with malignant lymphomas were analyzed. The j analysis showed high efficiency of 18F-FDG PET/CT compared with standard clinical and instrumental methods of research. This method has demonstrated the greatest diagnostic value in the diagnosis of involvement of the iliac, mediastinal, mesenteric and inguinal lymph nodes in the tumor process, as well^as in extronadal lesions (red bone marrow, son tissues, lungs and spleen), when sensitivity was 90% or more. The mismatch between the results of traditional research methods and 18F-FDG PET/CT in lymphoma staging was found in 12 (40%) patients: in 4 cases 18F-FDG PET/CT allowed to lower the stage of the disease, and in 8 patients to increase, which allowed correcting the therapy in 23% of patients. Thus, the results of the study indicate a high efficacy of 18F-FDG PET/ CT for malignant lymphomas staging.
