Porous filtering ceramics made from Siberian silicate raw materials

Abstract

The aim of this work was to create porous permeable ceramics of different destination based on Siberian mineral stock. Porous ceramic materials based on wollastonite and zeolite rocks of Siberia were developed. It is shown that the materials have apparent porosity values of 30-40%, pore size from 80-100 to 20-40 μm and the strength exceeding significantly the values for similar ceramics made from conventional raw materials.
