Plastic flow localization upon stretching Zr-1% Nb alloy

    Abstract

    The stages in the plastic flow curve and the localization of plastic strains upon stretching Zr-1% Nb alloy are considered. The localization pattern is found to correlate with a strain hardening law upon plastic flow. Data for the dislocation structure in strain localization regions are reported.
