Modern state of studies in the area of designing power fuel pulse generators on the basis of inductive energy accumulators and plasma current choppers is presented. The main attention is paid to plasma choppers with the time of presence in the low-resistance state equalling approximately 10-6s. The basic properties and characteristic elements of the chopper theory are enumerated and problems on the way of their application are indicated. Concrete examples of operating facilities are presented.
