Abstract

Body overweight correction is an acute problem since at its decrease by 5-10% the risk of development of obesity associated diseases authentically decreases along with hormone regulation of metabolism, and the common state gets better. Recently the technique of contrast massage has been actively introduced into practice. According to preliminary data, its effectiveness in correction of overweight can be compared with popular methods The purpose of the research was to study the dynamics of indices characterizing physiological status of women with overweight influenced by contrast massage. The result of contrast massage is achieved not only by means of local effect on tissues but also indirectly by changing the hormone blood level (somatotropic hormones, estrogens). Change in endocrine profile is combined with increase of muscle bioelectrical activity and improvement of neuromuscular transmission, sense of balance and coordinating abilities according to the data of computer stabilography. All this finally results in decrease of body volume and weight reduction and simultaneously creates preconditions for further positive shifts in the given direction.
