Photonics of cyanine dyes of different ionicity in matrices of halogen-containing derivatives of PEPC

Abstract

Photonics of cyanine dyes of different ionicity in matrices of halogen-containing derivatives of PEPC polymers were studied. It was shown that in the presence of heavy atoms the intensity of both the fast and delayed fluorescence of the dyes is lower in comparison with the polymer matrix without atoms I or Br. The presence of heavy atoms in the structure of polymers leads to the appearance or enhancement of the phosphorescence of dyes due to an increase in the spin-orbit interaction in the dye molecule and an increase in the rate of singlet-triplet transitions in the presence of a polymer with a large number of heavy atoms.
