Abstract
A simple in realization method is proposed for measuring and estimation of nonlinearity of the transfer characteristic of a photomultiplier by means of two controlled noncalibrated light sources. The estimation accuracy for the characteristic nonlinearity and its linearization is 0.15%. It is shown that the photomultiplier nonlinearity leads to nonproportional distortions of photoelectron estimations.
