The potential of perfusion scintigraphy is considered on the basic on the practical case. The patient with the preliminary diagnosis as myocardial ischemia was subjected to the 99mTc single-photon emission computerized tomography of myocardium and the 99mTc perfusion scintigraphy of lung. On the basis of obtained results the clinical diagnosis was thrombophlebitis of lower limbs, infarct-pneumonia, lung hypertension. But the pathologico-anatomic diagnosis was Ayerza's disease. The causes of the diagnostic error are discussed.
