Abstract

The function which defines the conversion of displacement into the phase of the induced emf of a sectioned eddy-current transducer with a traveling magnetic field is determined. The dependence of the linearity of the conversion of the displacement into phase on the geometrical parameters of the short-circuited coil is investigated.
