Abstract
An optical model for a particle to be used for studying the specular reflection from plane and wavy surfaces has been discussed. The energy and polarization characteristics of the radiation, which was specularly reflected from a plane surface, were shown to be useful for determination of the optical properties of water surface and ice particles.
