Abstract
The possibility of designing a 100-percent selective protection against ground faults of stator windings of synchronous generators, connected at generator voltage and working as a unit with a transformer, on a superimposed current with the frequency of 25 Hz, is shown. Problems of development of the reactive protection organ are set forth. Favorable results are obtained from a check of the protection carried out on a model of a large unit. The protection is applied to the large unit (containing four generators) of the Saratov hydroelectric power plant.
