On the barrier effect mechanism in inhomogeneous dielectrics

Abstract

In spite of a great number of experimental works having been devoted to the barrier effect, the mechanism of this effect is still not known. A new phenomenological approach to the barrier effect is presented in present paper. This approach allows the explanation of this phenomenon to be done for any dielectrics and various experimental conditions from the viewpoint of the energy conservation law.
