Abstract
Electron microscopy and crystallographic X-ray analysis are used to investigate diffuse scattering in the pure metals Nb, Mo, W and equiatomic alloy Nb-Mo. There is a regular transformation of diffraction effects in the order Nb-NbMo-Mo(W). These results correlate with neutron diffraction measurements of the dispersion curves for pure metals Nb, Mo, W, alpha -Fe. A general scheme is proposed for the transformation of diffraction effects in the solid solutions of b. c. c. transition metals.
