N2 - The present work aims at obtaining complex structures starting from monodisperse poly(styrene-co-2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate) spheres, obtained by soap-free emulsion polymerization. We studied the superficial functionalisation of the particles with reactive groups that could be useful for further reactions with active compounds. Clusters of functionalised particles linked by chemical bonds have been obtained by reaction between functionalised nanospheres and various reactives. Complex structures stabilized by electrostatic forces have been obtained as well, by mixing copolymer nanosphere with the same composition, obtained by soap-free emulsion polymerization initiated with KPS and respectively AIBA, hence with opposite superficial charges.
