Numerical ignition modeling of condensed matter by high-temperature particle

Abstract

The problem about ignition of a condensed matter by single particles heated to high temperature is solved in the framework of the two-dimensional heat-transfer model. The numerical investigations are carried out for the typical materials such as polyvinylnitrate and carbon particles. The two-dimensional heat-transfer model application leads in the rather narrow particle temperature band to the ignition delay time essentially differing from the other modes.
