Nonstationary heat exchange in conditions of steam film condensation on a horizontal tube

Abstract

Results of experimental investigations of the heat exchange in the process of film condensation of the R-12 refrigerant vapor on a horizontal tube in conditions of time variation of the saturation temperature in a condenser are presented. It is established that the heat transfer coefficient variation rate corresponds to the calculation within the framework of the quasistationary approximation according to the Nusselt theory. In this case this rate is proportional to the absolute value of the heat transfer coefficient, the saturation temperature variation rate and is inversely proportional to the temperature head.
