Abstract
Experimental results on nonstationary burning rates of homogeneous solid propellants at sharp pressure drops in a combustion chamber are presented. The measurements were performed by two independent methods: by high-speed filming and by solving the corresponding inverse problem of internal ballistics. The comparative analysis of results has confirmed the Marshakov-Sinaev hypothesis on the pulsing heat source mechanism of condensed system combustion and proved that the methods applied are complementary to each other.
