Abstract
The paper presents new nomograms to calculate the thickness of the shield against direct x-ray radiation in the 75-450 kV voltage range. Nomograms were obtained for the main shield materials: lead, iron, concrete, and were based on the spectral composition of source's radiation, on the contribution of secondary radiation. It is assumed that new standards of radiation safety NRB-96, will be taken into account. It is pointed out that all operating objects and productions should observe NRB-96 standards, in 2000. It is underscored that suitable, simple and reliable methods of calculating shield are necessary to accelerate this work.
