New methods of generation of electrophilic iodine in neutral and weakly acidic media

Abstract

We have developed new methods to generation of electrophilic iodine on the base iodine chloride and different salts: ICl+MeX→I+X-+MeCl, Me=Ag+, Pb+, Na+; X=CF3COO-, CH3COO-. Iodinating ability of obtained reagents has been studied on aromatic (including polycyclic) and heterocyclic compounds.
