Abstract

The paper presents the basic principles of ultrasonic testing (UT) of welded joints of containers with spent nuclear fuel (SNF) using phased antenna arrays. The application of the Digitally Focused Antenna (DFA) array technique is demonstrated in this paper for the reconstruction of images of welded joints. The experimental results obtained on the laboratory equipment are presented herein.
