Abstract
A structural model of mineral component of Troshkov clays has been developed on the base of description of a clay particle as an aggregate from the crystalline core and the amorphized mineral shell. It is shown that the aggregate stability is related to the cementing action of mineral colloid shells, and the particle desagglomeration results in improving plastic and binding properties of refractory kaolinic clays.
