Abstract
The scheme of nanosecond accelerator is described, which is designed to study generation of powerful electron and ion beams. The well-known scheme is realized with capacitive energy accumulator for charging the forming line, during the commutation of which the pulse is transmitted on vacuum diode through transmission line. The main version of accelerator has the following parameters: diode voltage 0.8 Mv, pulse length 80 ns, power 0.2 Tw. An accelerator version with plasma current breaker is described. This version enabled to raise the accelerator power by 1.8. The results of experiments relative to electron and ion beams generation are presented.
