Abstract
A reference signal generator is described including a phase shifter and an automatic phase-lock frequency tuning circuit. The phase shifter produces a squarewave voltage at the input signal frequency with a variable off-duty factor and controls the frequency of an adjustable oscillator. The frequency range of the circuit is from 1 Hz to 100 kHz, the multiplication factor is 1 to 5, the phase can be varied in steps of 0, 90, 180, and 270 degree with an accuracy of 0. 1 degree and continuously from 0 to 100 degree ; the overall phase error is less than 6 degree .
