Abstract

The experimental construction and the results of investigations of high-voltage spark gaps which are started both for simultaneous action of illumination and overvoltage and as a result of field distortion in the interelectrode gap are described. The construction and the results of operating the high-current commutator of a 1. 5-MV Tonus accelerator in which the spark gap were used are presented.
