Abstract

This article explains the results of the study of the transient resistance of connectors of various types, such as screw terminals, twist-on wire connectors 'wire nuts', self-clamp connectors 'WAGO', wire twisting of 3 cm and 5 cm. The influence of the transient resistance on the local overheating of the connector is investigated. Thanks to this research, it has become possible to choose and justify the most reliable method of connecting wiring in power networks. Also, an innovative method is proposed for monitoring contact quality of the electricity network indirectly.
